Sunbuddy Sunscreen
 

Start It Up supported the founder & CEO of Sunbuddy for several years, helping the company with business plan and proforma development, distribution strategies and sales support, branding and marketing strategies, content, communications, and investor connections and presentations.  

 

Start It Up helped Sunbuddy to increase sales and new distribution channels, build market presence and demand, and identify potential investors for their natural sunscreen product line.  Sunbuddy is the only FDA-approved sunscreen on the market, and the most effective product to protect consumers from harmful UVA and UVB rays. 

Flex Tekk

 

Start It Up is supporting Flex Tekk to launch their patented training and rehabilitation tool, Shin Tekk, including providing business planning and budget development, pricing strategies, and marketing and sales support services to accelerate lead generation and revenues through B2B and affiliate channels , as well as direct to consumer ecommerce sales.

The Women's Congress
 

Start It Up's CEO created the event and media platform concept, The Women's Congress, and raised $1M from private investors to launch the business.  The platform consisted of a trade show, conference, venture fair, executive summit, awards luncheon, epublication, and online business community. 

 

Quickly establishing the TWC brand as the 'must attend' event for entrepreneurs and corporate executives, the event attracted thousands of professionals from around the globe to network, learn from world-renown speakers, and source products & services from several hundred companies and technology providers.  The business generated $1M in sponsor and conference revenues in 18 months of launch, and the online business community and epublication engaged over 50,000 business leaders year round.

Vidiation

 

Start It Up supported a security start-up that was launching a new technology solution for radon bomb detection at the largest security trade show in the country.  The company had a 10x10 booth in the back of the show floor, competing for brand presence with thousands of established companies with large exhibiting budgets.  Start It Up developed an exhibit marketing strategy that included a pre-event direct mail campaign and media blitz, onsite booth promotion and marketing materials, and post-event follow up campaigns.  The exhibit marketing program broke through the noise, quickly building brand awareness, and generating hundreds of qualified leads.  The company was able to convert leads generated before and during the event, closing several new contracts to jump-start the business.

Binary Group
 

Start It Up's CEO led the strategic sales, branding, and marketing efforts for this woman-owned small business government contractor, transforming Binary from a traditional advisory assistance services and consulting firm to a thought leader across the federal government in emerging technology and agile methods, including data analytics, agile software and mobile app development, asset management, and an outcome driven consulting methodology.  Karen was instrumental in generating a lead pipeline of $20M and converted leads to closed contracts of $5M in base year value.

Karen led the product marketing and sales efforts for the contractor's new capabilities and solutions, including developing the go-to-market plan, lead generation strategies, marketing content, sales messaging, and presentation/proposal content.  Karen trained and managed Binary's inside sales to target agency decision-makers, building a successful and profitable real property and financial management practice.   Because of Binary's revenue and customer growth as well as command of emerging growth areas, they were acquired at the end of 2015.

Start It Up continues to provide business development and marketing services to expand business for Binary's real property and financial management practice, including closing millions in new contracts and a multi-million dollar pipeline in just six months.
