Binary is a woman-owned small business providing Asset Management & Logistics, ERP / Business Systems, Data Analytics & BI, and CIO Advisory services to the Federal Government  SIU has supported the company since 2016 to reposition the company and expand their capabilities in new practice areas, including asset management & logistics and data analytics & business intelligence.


SIU developed the go-to-market plan for the new practice areas, including the sales and marketing strategies, capabilities roadmap, messaging, customer and contract targets, and potential teaming partners, accelerating pipeline growth and new contracts.  SIU redesigned Binary's website to showcase their capabilities and customer successes, optimizing search engine page results, website traffic, and new lead generation.   SIU has been instrumental in helping Binary develop and launch an asset management application to provide more value to Federal customers and increase sales.

Empirical is a small disadvantaged business providing financial management, finance and analytics technology solutions, risk management and audit support, and CFO advisory support to the Federal Government.  Empirical has earned a reputation as a trusted expert and reliable provider to financial, IT, program, data, performance, and other leaders across agencies.


Start It Up helped Empirical reposition the company's brand and messaging in the Federal sector, including developing a new brand identity, redesigned website, new content, and campaigns to build brand awareness, effectively target contract opportunities, and drive closed deals.  SIU identified and trained Empirical's new BD manager, helping her to build a qualified pipeline, secure new teaming partners, and drive sales success.

The Women's Congress

Under SIU founder's previous company New Generation Event Solutions, Karen raised $1M from private investors to launch The Women's Congress (TWC), an event and media platform designed for female entrepreneurs and corporate executives.  


Quickly establishing the TWC brand as the 'must attend' event for entrepreneurs and corporate executives, the event attracted thousands of professionals from around the globe to network, learn from world-renown speakers, and source products & services from several hundred companies and technology providers.  The business generated $1M in sponsor and conference revenues in 18 months of launch, and the online business community and epublication engaged over 50,000 business leaders year round.

Family Office Association

Start It Up worked closely with the founder & CEO to develop his professional association start-up idea, including business planning, branding and website development, marketing content, and event strategies.  Start It Up's efforts accelerated brand awareness and revenue results, quickly establishing the organization as a thought leader in the family office market, and generating new members and sponsors through innovative events and marketing programs.   The Family Office Association is the premiere global community for successful families and their single family offices.  



Start It Up supported a security start-up that was launching a new technology solution for radon bomb detection at the largest security trade show in the country.  The company had a 10x10 booth in the back of the show floor, competing for brand presence with thousands of established companies with large exhibiting budgets.  Start It Up developed an exhibit marketing strategy that included a pre-event direct mail campaign and media blitz, onsite booth promotion and marketing materials, and post-event follow up campaigns.  The exhibit marketing program broke through the noise, quickly building brand awareness, and generating hundreds of qualified leads.  The company was able to convert leads generated before and during the event, closing several new contracts to jump-start the business.



Start It Up helped to launch a patented training and rehabilitation tool, ShinTekk, to the physical therapy and training markets and direct to consumers.  SIU provided business planning and budget development, pricing strategies, and marketing and sales execution services to build the b2b partner channel and new affiliate program, as well as drive sales from physical therapy, university and professional sports teams, and other targeted markets.
