Binary Group
 

Binary is a woman-owned small business providing Asset Management & Logistics, ERP / Business Systems, Data Analytics & BI, and Information Technology & CIO Advisory services to the Federal Government  SIU has supported Binary since 2016, successfully repositioning the company to capture new business in growth areas and expanding their capabilities, including asset management & logistics and data analytics & business intelligence.

 

SIU developed the go-to-market plan for the new practice areas, including the sales and marketing strategies, capabilities roadmap, messaging, customer and contract targets, and potential teaming partners.  SIU provides ongoing business development and marketing support and has helped Binary accelerate pipeline growth and close millions in new contracts.  SIU redesigned Binary's website to showcase their capabilities and customer successes, optimizing search engine page results, website traffic, and new lead generation.   SIU led the development of a proprietary asset management solution, Asset360, leading to expanded contracts with current customers and new contracts with government agencies, as well as providing more value to federal customers to quickly and accurate collect and report on data for real property and equipment assets.

Empirical
 

Empirical is a small disadvantaged business providing financial management, finance and analytics technology solutions, risk management and audit support, and CFO advisory support to the Federal Government.  Empirical has earned a reputation as a trusted expert and reliable provider to financial, IT, program, data, performance, and other leaders across agencies.

 

Start It Up helped Empirical reposition the company's brand and messaging in the Federal sector, including developing a new brand identity, redesigned website, new content, and campaigns to build brand awareness, effectively target better opportunities, and build a sales pipeline of qualified opportunities and teaming partners.  SIU identified a BD candidate that Empirical hired and trained her using the BD and Account Management Playbook developed for the team with new messaging, templates, opportunity evaluation criteria, and communications.  The BD manager has developed a significant pipeline of new contract opportunities in just six months with the guidance and support of our team.

TPN has been providing medical claim review services for 20+ years but was not generating consistent revenues and needed better strategies to scale its business.  They needed to better differentiate their services for complex and high value claims and value provided to clients compared to large IME businesses with cookie-cutter approaches.  The company's website had a lot of great content but was not search optimized and specific content was not easy to find for new visitors or generating new leads for the sales team.

Start It Up provided strategic planning, rebranding, website and marketing content development, marketing, and partner channel development support.   Results included:

  • Developed strategies to enhance the services offered to insurance companies and law firms and generate the right business for TPN (high value and complex claims)

  • Repositioned TPN's brand identity with a new company name, logo, and brand statements that effectively conveyed their offerings and value proposition, as well as differentiated their business from large IMEs

  • Redesigned the website with new / revised content, improving online brand presence / Google search rankings, and user experience, as well as generating quality leads

The Women's Congress
 

Under SIU CEO's previous company, New Generation Event Solutions, Karen raised $1M from private investors to launch The Women's Congress (TWC), an event and media platform designed for female entrepreneurs and corporate executives.  

 

Quickly establishing the TWC brand as the 'must attend' event for entrepreneurs and corporate executives, the first two events attracted 10,000 entrepreneurs and corporate executives from across the US and around the globe to network, learn from leading business speakers, and source products & services from several hundred companies and technology providers.  The event generated nearly $2M in sponsor and conference revenues, and an engaged online and year-round business community of more than 50,000 business leaders and entrepreneurs.

Family Office Association
 

Start It Up worked closely with the founder & CEO to develop his professional association start-up idea, including business planning, branding and website development, marketing content, and event strategies.  Start It Up's efforts accelerated brand awareness and revenue results, quickly establishing the organization as a thought leader in the family office market, and generating new members and sponsors through innovative events and marketing programs.   The Family Office Association is the premiere global community for successful families and their single family offices.  www.familyofficeassociation.com

Start It Up helped to launch a patented training and rehabilitation tool, ShinTekk, to the physical therapy and training markets and direct to consumers.  SIU provided business planning and budget development, pricing strategies, and marketing and sales campaign development and execution services to build the b2b partner channel and new affiliate marketing program, as well as drive sales for ShinTekk products from physical therapy offices, university athletic organizations, and professional sports teams.
